Dr. Shoukun Sun obtained his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Idaho in August, 2025. His research focused on large-content generation, instance segmentation, interactive segmentation, and diffusion models. He committed to advancing computer science by developing innovative deep-learning techniques and applications, particularly for critical applications with sparse labeling. He was the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Graduate Students and the 2024 MIDA Star Award.
